An Autumn Clonabreany House Wedding | Laura & Enda

When I think back on Laura and Enda’s Clonabreany House wedding, the first thing that comes to mind is colour. The ivy that climbs across the courtyard walls had turned the most vivid shade of red, exactly as Laura imagined when she first visited the venue. She told me she always knew she wanted to marry there in September, when the ivy would be glowing in the autumn light.

This blog is a little different from my usual ones. Normally I share a full set of photos, but for this one I wanted to do something special. Below you can watch a short video slideshow from their day, a relaxed and documentary-style story of their wedding as it unfolded. Feedl free to check out a full photo only Clonabreany wedding here though.

Laura got ready at Tom Blake House in Kells with her bridesmaids, Paula and Edel, surrounded by that perfect kind of wedding-morning energy: part excitement, part disbelief that it was finally happening. Her hair was by Katie Quinlan and makeup by Lisa O’Brien.

Meanwhile, Enda was at Clonabreany House with his groomsmen, Mark and Dave. He was a little nervous before the ceremony but completely transformed once he saw Laura walking towards him. From that point on, it was all smiles, hugs and easy laughter between two people who were clearly meant to be together.

Their ceremony, led by Billy Hutchinson, was personal and heartfelt. As they exchanged vows in front of their family and friends, soft light from the courtyard filtered in and gave everything that warm autumn glow that Clonabreany does so well.

Afterwards we made the most of the red ivy and the wind that swept through the courtyard. There’s one moment in the slideshow that says it all: Laura’s veil caught by the breeze while they both burst out laughing. It’s one of those perfectly unplanned moments that tells you everything about who they are.

The day moved into dinner and dancing, with The Panoramics keeping the dance floor full and E Squared providing beautiful ceremony music earlier in the day. The flowers by A Room in Bloom brought a burst of colour to every corner, and the cake by Bernadette Kenelley looked almost too good to cut.

Because Laura and Enda wanted every detail captured, they also had Maria from Just_Murried_ there as a content creator, which worked perfectly alongside my relaxed documentary approach.

Clonabreany is one of those venues that never looks the same twice. The light changes, the ivy changes, and the atmosphere shifts with the season, but every single time it feels full of warmth, laughter and celebration.

If you’re planning your own autumn wedding at Clonabreany House, I’d love to chat about how we can capture it in the same natural and storytelling way.
