Real Days at Irish Venues
I'm a Dublin wedding photographer working this way across Ireland, and This Is Reportage & the WPJA ranked me in the top 25 wedding photojournalists worldwide. No two of these weddings look alike, and that's the point. I photograph the day as it unfolds rather than staging it, so what you'll see in each gallery is what actually happened. The weddings below run from The K Club and city days at The Merrion Hotel to country houses like Powerscourt Hotel and Tankardstown House, and most are the full day, start to finish.
Casey and Dominic: A Small Family Wedding in Enniskerry, Lough Tay and the Wicklow Mountains
The wind lifted Casey's veil just as Dominic leaned in, with the Guinness Lake far below them. Ten guests, a traditional ceremony at St Mary's in Enniskerry and thirty minutes in the Lough Tay in the Wicklow Mountains.
Rathsallagh Wedding Photographer: Niamh and John, Co. Wicklow
When Fr Joe pronounced them married, St Brigid’s in Kill let out the loudest roar I have heard from a congregation. A page boy with perfect comic timing, the Manila Strings on the lawn and sunset under the big tree at Rathsallagh.
Laura and Ryan's WedFest Farm Wedding in Wicklow
One of their dogs carried the rings, stopped for pets along the way and then refused to leave. Laura plans weddings for a living, so for her own she did not book a venue. She and her family built one on the farm and called it Wed Fest.
Borgo di Tragliata Wedding Photographer | Niamh and Dave
Fr Roberto could not pronounce “Niamh”, so for the rest of the trip she was “Neff”. Three days at Borgo di Tragliata with a red Fiat down the hill, a brass band behind it and a bride who got up and sang Zombie with the band.
Tinakilly Wedding Photographer: Laura and James, Co. Wicklow
It rained on the car, on the church and on Laura running through the gates at Kilquade. Then the car turned in at Tinakilly House and it stopped for as long as it mattered. Speeches from the staircase and a priest of eighty eight with all the best lines.
Galgorm Wedding Photographer: Holly and Matt, Ballymena
Holly was about to walk out the door in her dress when the rain finally won and the ceremony moved indoors. Seven minutes under the fairy lights at Galgorm, a page boy with a trumpet and a bride on shoulders by the third song.
Maritime Museum Wedding Photographer: Rowena and Bryan, Dún Laoghaire
Their son Sé walked into the middle of the vows and stood between his parents with a grin as they kissed. Fifty guests at the Maritime Museum in Dún Laoghaire, prosecco in the courtyard and dinner in a café in the middle of a public park.
Marco Pierre White Wedding Photographer: Elle and Iain in Donnybrook
Elle and Iain swore there would be no first dance. Five minutes later they were in the middle of one. A whole day under one roof at Marco Pierre White in Donnybrook, with a roar after the kiss and a courtyard full of sun.
