Clonabreany House
Documentary Wedding Photographer
I'm a Dublin-based documentary wedding photographer, ranked in the Top 30 worldwide, and I've photographed many weddings at Clonabreany House. It's a country estate in County Westmeath, about an hour from Dublin, and it's one of my favourite places in the country to shoot: Georgian interiors, manicured gardens, and open countryside in every direction. You get the privacy of a private estate without being far from the city, which suits both the photography and your guests.
Why Clonabreany House is Perfect for Documentary Photography
Clonabreany pairs historic interiors with open grounds, so there's room for the day to unfold at its own pace. The layout flows from one space to the next, which lets me follow it as it happens, from the quiet of the bridal prep through to the celebration in the gardens and marquee. I'm watching for the real moments rather than setting them up.

My Approach to Clonabreany House Wedding Photography
I work in a relaxed, documentary style: candid storytelling alongside a small set of natural portraits that use Clonabreany’s Georgian architecture, the gardens and the marquee light. I photograph without breaking the flow of the day. Every Clonabreany wedding has its own rhythm, and my job is to show not just how the day looked but how it felt.
Highlights for Clonabreany Wedding Photos

The Main House. Georgian interiors for bridal prep and quieter portraits.
The Grounds. Open countryside backdrops and the long driveway up to the house.
The Marquee. Atmosphere for speeches, the cake cutting and dancing into the night.
