Clonabreany House Wedding | Jenn & Max’s Relaxed Celebration

Jenn and Max are both pilots and they brought that calm steady energy to their summer wedding at Clonabreany House in County Meath. The whole day had a relaxed, unhurried feel, with no formal wedding party and only their closest family and friends around them. They chose to keep things simple and natural, which let them focus on what mattered most — enjoying the day and celebrating with their guests.

Morning at Clonabreany

Jenn got ready in Diamor Cotttage, a lovely new house just beside the main Clonabreany driveway while Max was only a short walk away in the courtyard rooms. With hair by Aoife Priest and makeup by Deirdre O’Reilly the morning was easy and full of laughter and because they didn’t have a traditional bridal party, Jenn’s best friend Sarah was her witness, while Max’s brother Nico stood by his side. That choice set the tone for the day; relaxed, meaningful, and personal.

The Ceremony

Their ceremony took place in Clonabreany House with celebrant Catriona Cullen. It was heartfelt but never overly serious and the little moments like JT, their seven-year-old nephew, carrying the rings gave it that extra touch of warmth. Guests filled the space with smiles and a few happy tears, and the atmosphere was intimate despite having over a hundred friends and family there.

Reception at Clonabreany House

After the ceremony everyone spilled out into the gardens and courtyard that make Clonabreany such a special venue. Jenn and Max had told me beforehand that the part they were most looking forward to was simply being with their guests and that’s exactly how the afternoon unfolded. No rush, no fuss, just great conversations, glasses clinking, and plenty of laughs.

Dinner was served at 6pm in the main reception space, beautifully styled by the Clonabreany team. Shauna, the venue coordinator made sure everything ran smoothly.

Final Thoughts

I love photographing weddings at Clonabreany House because it has that perfect mix of stunning grounds and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. For Jenn and Max, it was exactly the right fit: a relaxed, elegant backdrop where they could spend quality time with the people they love most.
