Dalkey Church & Tinakilly House – Paula & Rory
“Black tie in appearance but laid back in atmosphere.”
That was how Paula & Rory described their wedding in their pre-wedding questionnaire, and it summed up the day perfectly.
On a hot July afternoon in 2021, Rory kicked things off with a dip at the famous Forty Foot in Sandycove. What he hadn’t mentioned was that he was planning a flawless swan dive to set the tone. It was the kind of start that set the mood for everything that followed — fun, relaxed, and completely true to them.
Meanwhile, Paula got ready nearby in Sandycove with her bridesmaids and family, before heading to meet Rory at the beautiful Dalkey Church for their ceremony. The sun was shining, the streets were buzzing with summer energy, and everything felt full of life.
After the vows, everyone made their way to Tinakilly House in County Wicklow to continue the celebrations. Surrounded by gardens, history, and golden light, it was the perfect setting to carry their black-tie-meets-laid-back vision into the night.
Paula & Rory’s day had everything I love about Irish weddings — a sense of place, personal touches, and a mix of elegance and fun that made every moment worth photographing.
