A Cloughjordan House Wedding Content Creation Video
Denise & Tony’s Winter Wedding at Cloughjordan House
Denise and Tony’s winter wedding at Cloughjordan House was photographed in my usual documentary style, with one important addition. Alongside the photography, I also created a five minute vertical wedding content creation video, capturing the day as it unfolded in real time.
This blog is built around that Cloughjordan House wedding content creation, embedded below. The photography was still the foundation of the coverage, but the video adds another layer. Fast, natural, energetic moments that couples can immediately relive and share.
Photography first, content creation alongside
The photography came first, as it always does. My focus was on telling the full story of the day through natural, honest images.
At the same time, I was also capturing short video clips throughout the day. Nothing staged. Nothing intrusive. Just small moments, transitions, reactions, and atmosphere that naturally happen between photographs. Those clips were later edited into a vertical highlight film designed specifically for social sharing.
This approach works particularly well at Cloughjordan House, where the spaces flow easily and the light changes beautifully throughout the day.
By the way, I’ve also written a blog post about the best reasons to get married in Cloughjordan House, feel free to check it out.
A calm start at The Distillery Cottage
The morning began at The Distillery Cottage, where Denise got ready with her family and bridal party. Things ran a little late, but Denise stayed incredibly relaxed throughout. While others were starting to feel the pressure, she was calm, steady, and completely present.
Denise finished getting ready at the cottage before moving up to Cloughjordan House to put on her dress. A long sleeve white gown that suited the winter setting perfectly.
Despite the delays, she still walked down the aisle right on time.
One of the most meaningful moments of the day was Denise being walked down the aisle by her dad and her nephew Dara. It was a quiet, emotional moment and deeply personal. Dara played a big role throughout the day and even helped me with some of the content creation later on. A genuinely lovely kid and a huge part of their story.
A warm winter ceremony at Cloughjordan House
The ceremony took place at Cloughjordan House at 2pm and was officiated by Justin Mason. With 171 guests in attendance, including 11 children, the room felt full of energy without ever feeling rushed.
Live guitar music, winter florals by Ali Clonakenny Flowers, and candlelight created a warm atmosphere that translated beautifully in both photographs and video.
From a content creation point of view, ceremonies like this are ideal. Natural reactions, subtle movement, and real emotion all work perfectly in short video form.
Making the most of the winter light
With a late November wedding, daylight was limited. Denise and Tony made a great decision to skip the receiving line, which allowed us to move efficiently through family photographs.
Because of that choice, all formal photos were completed quickly and smoothly, leaving time for a short couple shoot just as the light dropped. The low winter sun gave us soft, romantic light, which you can see reflected in the hero image and throughout the content creation video.
This balance of efficiency and intention is what allows both photography and content creation to work together seamlessly.
The Cloughjordan House wedding content creation video
Below is Denise and Tony’s Cloughjordan House wedding content creation video. It is a five minute vertical highlight film, created alongside the photography coverage.
The video is:
Fun and energetic
Documentary in feel
Built from real moments rather than posed clips
It works as a companion piece to the photography, not a replacement. Couples still receive a full photographic story, with the added benefit of instant, shareable video memories
Dinner, speeches, and a brilliant dancefloor
Dinner was served at 5.30pm, with speeches taking place beforehand. The styling leaned into winter warmth, with candles, florals, and a relaxed, social atmosphere.
Once the dancing started, the energy lifted immediately. DJ and sax kept the floor packed, personalised glasses made their way around the room, and at one point Denise and Tony were lifted onto shoulders by the groomsmen as the party took off.
These are the moments that content creation captures beautifully. Fast, joyful, unfiltered energy that still sits comfortably alongside documentary photography.
A word on Cloughjordan House
Cloughjordan House is one of the best venues in Ireland for couples who want their day documented naturally. The layout, the light, and the pace of the day make it ideal for combining wedding photography and content creation video without either one getting in the way of the other.
A big thank you to Danielle at Cloughjordan House, who was brilliant throughout the day and helped everything run smoothly from start to finish.
