Jet & Mikey’s Dunbrody House Wedding
uliet and Michael are known to everyone, family, friends, and now us, simply as Jet & Mikey. Childhood sweethearts, they have been Jet and Mikey for so long that no other names would have felt right at their wedding. And on a glorious September afternoon at Dunbrody House in County Wexford, that sense of familiarity and joy shaped everything about the day.
A Ceremony in the Gardens
This was the opposite of unnecessary formality. The ceremony took place outdoors in the gardens of Dunbrody House, a venue that balances homeliness with elegance in a way few others can. Guests laughed through anecdotes shared by old friends while a college roommate played piano as the soundtrack to the vows. It felt like a gathering of family, a reunion, and a festival all rolled into one.
Wildflowers, Hidden Doors, and Secret Pubs
Jet & Mikey’s style could be felt everywhere. Wildflowers that looked freshly gathered from a hidden garden lined the ceremony and reception spaces. Doors that seemed to lead into enchanted forest paths opened instead into a tucked-away pub that became a surprise haunt for the guests. Dunbrody House has a magic for moments like this, always offering something unexpected while still feeling like home.
Food Worth Remembering
Of course, a wedding at Dunbrody House would not be complete without food to talk about. Michelin-level dining was served with a relaxed ease, guests eating and drinking together on the grass like it was an old festival reunion. And it was not just chef Kevin Dundon showing his love of food that weekend. Mikey’s brother Richie stayed up all night baking ten loaves of sourdough bread, perfectly paired with the cheese he knew would be on hand for those late-night cravings. It was the kind of detail that made the day feel completely theirs.
Golden Light and Festival Vibes
The light that afternoon was extraordinary. Sunlight bounced through the trees, spotlighting laughter, hugs, and dancing, making everything feel cinematic. Annie and I found ourselves constantly pulled into that “ooh look at that” instinct to photograph. This was a day full of energy and colour, one that made us wish all our friends would create weddings like this just so we could attend them again and again.
A Dunbrody House Wedding to Remember
Jet & Mikey’s wedding at Dunbrody House was about love, community, and joy, served up with sourdough, wildflowers, and a backdrop of golden light. It was a day that celebrated who they are and the life they have built together, and for us, it was a privilege to be part of it.
