Tasha & James | Where Luxury met Relaxed | K Club Wedding

Tasha and James designed their day around one clear vision: a wedding at The K Club that was both elegant and relaxed. They wanted luxury without formality, beauty without fuss, and a celebration that felt like an unforgettable party with their favourite people. The result was a September wedding filled with sunshine, heartfelt moments and pretty much non-stop dancing.

Morning Prep

The day began at The K Club, where both the bride and groom got ready on site. Tasha looked incredible in her sparkling Sima Couture gown, paired with Jimmy Choos and a veil that had been passed down through generations in her family. Her Carat London jewellery and Tom Ford perfume added just the right finishing touches.

James matched her style perfectly, wearing Oliver Brown with a Rolex on his wrist and Le Labo cologne. Before seeing each other, the couple exchanged handwritten letters. It was a quiet, emotional moment that set the tone for everything to come.

The First Look

One of the most emotional moments (and an opportunity for me to go into full documentary photography mode) of the day was the first look. In the gardens of The K Club, James turned to see Tasha for the first time, her dress sparkling in the sunlight. This private meeting gave them time to breathe, connect, and take in the magic of the day before walking down the aisle.

The Ceremony

The ceremony took place outdoors in the stunning grounds of The K Club. With perfect blue skies overhead and string versions of film and video game themes setting the mood, the atmosphere was both elegant and personal. The most moving touch was that the celebrant was Barbara, the bride’s mum, who had come out of retirement to marry her daughter and new son-in-law.

As they said their vows, laughter and tears mixed in equal measure. When it was time to celebrate, confetti cannons filled the air while the couple walked back up the aisle to a string version of Sweet Child O’ Mine.

The Drinks Reception

The drinks reception at The K Club was held outdoors, with guests enjoying cocktails in the sunshine. The couple set up a “shot stop” where everyone could enjoy a Baby Guinness before moving on to the reception. Magician Jamie Skelton amazed guests with his tricks, while the younger ones were given activity packs and disposable cameras for a photo treasure hunt, which created some brilliant candid shots.

The florals by Vintage Violet perfectly complemented the setting, with emerald greens and pops of magenta and burnt orange tying everything together.

Dinner and Speeches

Dinner was served in the ballroom at The K Club, lit by candlelight to create a glamorous and moody atmosphere. Tasha and James made their entrance to Rags to Riches from Goodfellas, setting the tone for the evening ahead.

They chose to keep speeches short, speaking themselves so that the focus remained on the meal and the atmosphere. The cake, designed by Clare Anne Taylor, was a true showpiece and tasted just as good as it looked.

Dancing

Once The Event Band took the stage, the wedding turned into a full-blown party. Their first dance to Baby I’m Yours by Arctic Monkeys was a romantic start before the dance floor opened and stayed packed all night. The band delivered an incredible performance that had guests singing, dancing, and celebrating until late.

Final Word

This K Club wedding was the perfect example of how to mix elegance with ease. It was stylish, personal, and filled with energy from start to finish. Tasha and James wanted a day that felt like them, and they absolutely nailed it.

A special thank you goes to Kylie at The K Club, one of the best coordinators in the business, who ensured everything ran seamlessly and to Emma in Wednesday Wedding Club who was a massive asset on the day. Tasha & James couldn’t speak highly enough of her.
