Laura & Shane’s Glasson Lakehouse Wedding

Laura & Shane’s wedding at Glasson Lakehouse was everything a Westmeath wedding should be — relaxed, joyful, and surrounded by the beauty of Ireland’s midlands. Glasson is one of those venues that feels both luxurious and laid-back, with sweeping views of Lough Ree and a sense of space that lets the day unfold naturally.

A Ceremony by the Lake

Glasson Lakehouse has a setting that few venues can rival. With views over the lake and the rolling countryside beyond, Laura & Shane’s ceremony felt completely connected to the landscape. Guests arrived smiling, ready for a day that felt equal parts celebration and escape.

You can find out more about the venue on Glasson Lakehouse’s official site — it’s a place that combines modern style with a relaxed Irish atmosphere.

Portraits with a View

After the ceremony, we took a little time for portraits along the lake and the tree-lined grounds. What I loved about Laura & Shane was how natural they were together. They weren’t looking for posed pictures — just a chance to wander, laugh, and enjoy the moment. Those small, genuine interactions are always what make the strongest photographs.

Dinner, Speeches, and Dancing

Inside the Lakehouse, the reception was filled with warmth. Long tables, relaxed dining, and speeches that moved between laughter and a few tears. As the evening rolled into dancing, the atmosphere shifted into full celebration mode — the kind of night where nobody wants to leave the floor.

A Glasson Lakehouse Wedding to Remember

Laura & Shane’s wedding was the perfect reflection of what makes Glasson Lakehouse so special. Stunning views, a relaxed setting, and the focus always on the couple and their story. For Annie and me, it was a joy to photograph.
