Kilshane House, Co. Tipperary

Not that I would ever wish rain on anyone on their wedding day but there are definitely some venues where I really wouldn't mind if everything happened indoors. Kilshane House is a place where you want to photograph the inside of every glorious room. Nothing Joelle and Stephen were hoping for in their photographs needed a sunny forest or lake either.
They wanted the documentary shots to remember the day, lots of real moments of the joy and celebrations.
They wanted to go for post-ceremony pints with their friends in the little pub across the road and then maybe just a couple of nice portraits and family photos for the photo frames and memory boxes before they got back to the party.
There’s nothing about all of that that won’t look fantastic inside the grand halls and staircases, frescoed rooms and palm tree filled glasshouse of Kilshane.

Post-mass pints were had and Prosecco toasts with the gang filled the drinks reception time, photos were grabbed between drinks and canapés in the drawing room, emotions ran high until the laughter sounded louder, the groom did a headstand in the middle of the dance floor.
It looked to me like a perfect day (with rain all through the afternoon and evening).

And if you still really want a sparkler shot at the end of all that you can always pack all of your friends into the smallest space in the world under a porch and then share said tiny space with all the uncles with iPhones who fancy a photo of that too. I’ve never laughed as hard while getting drenched.
